On Friday Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies travelled to the Clay County Hospital at approximately 12:30 am.  Deputies were alerted to a suspected domestic battery incident that had taken place in Cisne.  After interviewing the victim who was receiving treatment at Clay County Hospital Deputies obtained probable cause to make an arrest. 

Deputies traveled back to Cisne and located and arrested 22-year-old Mason R. Thomas of Cisne.  Thomas was transported to the Wayne County Jail pending his detention hearing.  Thomas faces preliminary charges of Aggravated Domestic Battery.

Monday the Wayne County Sheriff's Office responded to Wayne City Schools.  The Sheriff’s Office became aware of threatening notes being located inside the school.  The Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into the matter along with school administration.  Out of an abundance of caution extra Deputies in addition to the School Resource Officer were present and additional precautions were taken.
