The American Red Cross wants you to Spring into action and help patients this month.

In response to the critical need for blood, the American Red Cross will have a blood drive Wednesday in Clay City.  The American Red Cross has changed the location for this blood drive to the Clay City Community Center from 1:00 am to 6 pm.  Appointments to give blood are now being taken, there are now 6 power red donation appointments left and a number of Blood drive appointments available, plus walk ins will be welcome.

Donors, especially those with type O blood and those giving platelets, can help bolster the blood supply now by making an appointment to give in the coming weeks.  Make an appointment to donate by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).  A donor card, driver’s license, or two forms of ID are required at check-in.

Those who give blood or platelets through April 30th will get a Red Cross T-Shirt.  Plus get a chance at a $5K gift card, there will be 3 winners.

The next Blood drive in our area will be on Wednesday, May 7th at the Flora Depot from 1 to 5 pm.
