NORTH CLAY BOARD 4/28/25 North
Clay Board of Education met in regular session last week and reorganized after
this month’s election. Board
members heard from Superintendent Keith Price that the district construction
project is days away from completion, with the exception of installation of
final electrical panels and other cosmetic details. Many
personnel details were approved. The resignations of Diona Griffy as bus
driver, Billy Coble as 5th and 6th grade girls basketball
and as 8th grade girls basketball; Jessica Bell as 7th
grade girls basketball coach; Doug Philips as 7th grade boys
basketball coach; and Chad Traub as district technology coordinator. The
Board also rehired all current non-certified teachers for the coming school
year; hired Michael Teague as fulltime custodian; Brian Swope as junior high
school cross country coach for the coming school year; and Taya Baggett as a
Music teacher for the coming year. They also hired Sam Erwin as high school PE
and Health teacher for the coming school year and as high school cross country
coach; Mackenzie Walker as high school assistant volleyball coach; Allie
Krutsinger as junior high school head cheer coach; and provided the
Administration permission to hire necessary summer school staff and provided
the administration permission to hire non-certified staff as needed.
