Gerald “Gerry” Peacher,
was born on Nov 11, 1948, in southern Illinois and came to the Imperial Valley
in 1972. He passed away on April 12, 2025, in El Centro, California. He was a
devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother and was deeply loved by
his family. His grandchildren were at the center of his life, which was evident
to those who knew him. Gerry made many friends
in his career working in the geothermal industry as a draftsman and safety
inspector, and as the Public Works Manager for the city of Holtville. Gerry
also had a large family in his community of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He served the congregation
in many capacities for many years and was loved and respected for his deep love
of God, kindness, fairness, and humility. Gerry’s personality drew people to
him. His quick wit and demeanor were disarming and he took delight in making
people laugh and feel at ease with him. Gerry was preceded in
death by his father, Alfred Peacher and sister, Kristie Peacher. He is survived
by his mother, Juanita Peacher; his wife of 50 years, Diana Peacher; son,
Nathan (Carla) Peacher; sisters, Judy Bowlby (Chris) and Kathy Ham (Tom); grandchildren,
Kianna and Julien Peacher; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service for
Gerry will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Imperial,
California, on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Family and friends in
southern Illinois are invited to gather at Red Brush Christian Church in
Louisville, Illinois, at 12 noon (CST) on Saturday, May 3, to view a livestream
